The UCA is a young university, created in 1978, which has continued to evolve and confirm its positioning at the national and international level as much by the evolution of its student body as by the diversification of its training offer. or through research and national and international outreach.
Today, Cadi Ayyad University has 13 university establishments, 9 of which are located in Marrakech, 3 establishments in Safi, an EST in Essaouira and a University Center in Kelaa des Sraghna. It therefore covers the new Marrakech-Safi region. 2 new institutions will come to enlarge our university, it is the faculty of the Arabic Language of Marrakech which will be attached to the University Cadi Ayyad and the EAST of Kelaa des Sraghna which will be created next year.
It welcomes this year 2015/2016 about 70,000 students, including more than 600 international students. The number of students has increased considerably over the last 4 years, with +10 compared to 2014/2015 and +26% compared to 2013/2013. It is also more than double the 2010/2011 squad.
The UCA has worked to support this change in the workforce by increasing the reception capacity in open access establishments in particular. This accommodation capacity increased from 33,000 physical places in 2010/2011 to more than 44,700 physical places in 2014/2015. It will be further strengthened with the new Tamansourt Integrated Campus project (60,000 places planned for 2018) and with other extensions nearing completion.
Aware of the insufficiency of such measures which require more and more financial means, and which are programmed over several years, in addition to the insufficiency of budgetary items, the UCA has opted for the choice of establishing an innovative pedagogy based on new technologies. Hence the establishment of a Pedagogical Innovation Center in 2013. One of the first projects developed within this structure is the UC@MOOC platform, which today has more than 240 educational units posted online. free access.
In addition, UCA is recognized internationally for the quality of its scientific research. Its 1,470 teacher-researchers, supported by more than 820 administrative managers and technicians, are the source of more than 500 high-quality publications.
The quality of the scientific production, associated with the close collaboration which links the 146 research structures of the UCA to more than 580 research organizations in the world has enabled Cadi Ayyad University to appear in the TOP 400 of the Palmarès des Universites en 2014. This result was confirmed in several subsequent rankings.
